Spreadsheet of Current Knitting Groups
I created this spreadsheet after encountering problems in finding up-do-date meeting information.
The UK Handknitting Association website has a helpful list of groups and information, but I soon discovered that some of the groups on the list no longer exist. For example, I emailed one group inquiring about attending. I got an unfortunate response:

This response is what inspired me to make a new list that can be more easily updated by the community. I started emailing every London group on the UK Hand Knitting list to ask if they still regularly meet, and whether their information had changed since making their posting. This is the sort of email I sent to over 30 groups:
I received many enthusiastic responses. At least 25% of the groups had new information that wasn't on the UK Hand Knitting website. Some of them had forgotten to update their postings, while others didn't know how to. I have been sharing the link to the spreadsheet with many people, and my plan is to eventually hand it off to a knitter who actually lives in London. One librarian I have been in correspondence with seems interested.
